Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight to designated destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to safety protocols and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Navigate long-haul routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT medical card and DOT physical.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and local traffic laws.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Flexibility to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
