Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules and routes
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Report mechanical issues and coordinate timely maintenance
- Build positive relationships with clients and vendors during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and regulations
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for vehicle maintenance
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and extended hours as needed
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
