Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on long-haul routes within Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Represent Swift professionally with exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS rules
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and route navigation proficiency
