Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks for long-haul deliveries to NYC and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs and delivery documentation
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain compliance with federal/state transportation laws and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and random drug screenings
- Familiarity with NYC traffic regulations and delivery zones
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and preventive maintenance knowledge
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend work when required
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
