Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation while adhering to delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and issues
- Ensure compliance with all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Complete paperwork and maintain electronic logging system accuracy
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb trailer steps repeatedly
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Texas road networks
- Excellent time management and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
