Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) for local/regional routes
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and adherence to safety protocols
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging (ELD)
- Maintain vehicle inspection reports and perform preventative maintenance checks
- Adhere to DOT regulations and all traffic laws during transit
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and Indiana roadways
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Must own DOT-compliant steel-toe boots
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
