Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van/refrigerated) within Boston metro area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for route optimization and customer communication
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of freight with dock teams
- Report maintenance issues and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Complete all required paperwork and digital documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Boston metro routes and traffic patterns
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement
- Smartphone proficiency for digital log apps
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
