Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for regional freight transport
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and route optimization protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD compliance)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Communicate with dispatch teams via telematics systems
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling during transit
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HAZMAT certification (preferred)
- Strong navigation skills and GPS device proficiency
- Pass background check and drug screening
