Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (box trucks, flatbeds) within NYC metropolitan area
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Communicate with dispatch for route optimization and delivery updates
- Handle time-sensitive deliveries with punctuality
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of NYC boroughs and surrounding areas
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for early morning/late evening shifts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred
