Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight within the Philadelphia metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each shipment
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines while ensuring cargo security
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Assist with loading/unloading when necessary to maintain schedule efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass mandatory drug screening and background check
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation apps
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Knowledge of Philadelphia area roadways and traffic patterns preferred
- Reliable smartphone with constant connectivity for dispatch communications
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
