Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe, legal, and efficient manner to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation accuracy.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and during dock operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than one moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and withstand long hours of sitting.
