Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) for regional routes within North Carolina
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to delivery schedules
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization and load coordination
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle defects promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Flexibility for overnight regional travel (1-3 nights/week)
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
