Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers safely and efficiently on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and support teams
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Charlotte metro area and Southeastern US routes
- Experience with freight types (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for irregular hours and overnight trips
