Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system records
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and troubleshoot routing issues
- Represent Swift Transportation professionally with clients and at delivery locations
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
