Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems while adhering to delivery schedules
- Verify cargo documentation and ensure secure loading/unloading procedures
- Comply with FMCSA regulations, HOS rules, and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete digital paperwork and delivery documentation in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial truck driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with Hazmat materials handling (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and fleet management systems
- Strong spatial awareness and ability to navigate complex urban environments
- Physical ability to handle cargo up to 50 lbs and climb vehicle steps
- Must be 25+ years of age due to insurance requirements
