Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers over various routes within the United States.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of freight to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to ensure the safety of yourself and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold the company's professional image and customer service standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and be insurable.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT hours of service (HOS) regulations.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
