Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers safely over designated routes while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload freight with precision and proper handling techniques
- Collaborate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with all safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety standards
- Flexibility for regional overnight travel (3-5 days/week)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
