Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) for regional routes across Georgia and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient loading/unloading and delivery timelines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive freight
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with ELD systems and electronic logging requirements
- Strong knowledge of Georgia roadways and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
