Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional routes (max 3 nights out)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous logbooks
- Inspect and maintain assigned vehicles pre/post-trip
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for optimal delivery schedules
- Handle specialized freight requiring temperature control protocols
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- 2+ years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with CA mountain driving and port operations
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training provided)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
