Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods across the Mid-Atlantic region
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation per DOT regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Build positive relationships with clients at delivery locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service rules
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning tools
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
