Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain orderly conduct on buses and implement positive student management
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and emergency situations
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations and district policies
- Assist students with mobility needs and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsements (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening per federal regulations
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience working with children or preferred transportation background
- Strong communication skills and crisis management abilities
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility equipment
- Knowledge of Laredo streets and traffic patterns
