Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Ensure student safety through proper boarding, seating, and drop-off procedures
- Maintain a positive and respectful environment for all students
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond calmly to emergencies or behavioral situations
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 21 years of age with clean driving record
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical examination
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
