Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles (trucks or vans) following assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Safely load and unload merchandise using dollies, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques.
- Ensure the accurate delivery of packages to customers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, manifests, and electronic logs (ELD).
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior at all times.
- Report any delivery exceptions, damage, or safety hazards immediately to dispatch.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
- Must be available to work nights (5:00 PM - 3:00 AM) on a consistent basis.
- Must possess a current DOT medical card and valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
