Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical condition of the equipment.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for safe transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records, including hours of service (HOS) and trip details.
- Navigate complex routes and delivery points efficiently, communicating with dispatch and customers as needed.
- Adhere to strict time schedules to meet delivery deadlines and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean driving record and professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as a professional truck driver.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and DOT drug screening compliance.
- Ability to pass a background check and have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform minor vehicle checks and troubleshooting.
