Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and time-sensitive pharmaceuticals via climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain precise temperature logs and chain-of-custody documentation for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and hospital security protocols at all delivery points
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure on-time arrivals
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and sanitization procedures between deliveries
- Communicate proactively with healthcare facilities regarding delivery status
- Train new couriers on medical handling protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record (no moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- CPR certification and knowledge of biohazard handling procedures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with mobile delivery tracking apps and digital documentation
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional time management skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
