Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and critical supplies between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for time-sensitive materialsDocument all transfers using electronic tracking systems and chain-of-custody forms
- Verify recipient identities and delivery instructions at each location
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard handling standards
- Provide real-time delivery updates via mobile communication system
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean MVR (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 1 year courier or medical transport experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and navigate medical facilities
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling
- Proficient with smartphone apps and GPS navigation
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
