Responsibilities
- Safely transport temperature-sensitive medical specimens, blood products, and organs using specialized equipment
- Maintain precise delivery schedules with real-time GPS tracking and route optimization
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody documentation procedures
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and inventory management of medical supplies
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to resolve delivery exceptions and special requests
- Utilize electronic logging systems for accurate timekeeping and mileage reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Certification in medical transport (preferred) or willingness to obtain
- Exceptional time management and navigation skills in Bay Area traffic
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled containers
- Strong attention to detail with HIPAA compliance knowledge
