Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and surgical organs using climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols for time-sensitive deliveries
- Utilize GPS tracking systems to optimize routes and meet delivery deadlines
- Prepare and maintain detailed delivery documentation with HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate with medical facilities, labs, and transplant teams for seamless handoffs
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Respond proactively to delivery exceptions and rerouting requests
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to pass background check
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical or specimen transport preferred
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; CDL a plus
- Ability to work independently with remote supervision
