Responsibilities
- Securely transport blood samples, tissue specimens, and pharmaceutical products between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control (refrigerated/cryogenic) for time-sensitive medical deliveries
- Complete detailed chain-of-custody documentation and electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with medical facilities to optimize delivery routes and time-sensitive pickups
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks before each shift
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- Certified Medical Transport Professional (CMTP) or equivalent certification
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled units
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
