Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) to forecast industry shifts through 2030
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to ideate and prototype future-facing solutions
- Present insights to executive stakeholders and investor boards with compelling data visualizations
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Author thought leadership publications and whitepapers on technology evolution
- Oversee R&D initiatives for experimental technologies with 5-10 year horizons
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, R&D, or futurist roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with measurable business impact
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with AI/ML tools for predictive modeling and pattern recognition
- Portfolio of published futurist work or successful innovation launches
- Ability to obtain US security clearance for classified projects
