You'll lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-generation solutions while publishing thought leadership that positions Horizon Labs as the definitive voice on future readiness.
Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies and societal shifts to identify high-impact opportunities through 2026
- Develop strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with 5-year future-state scenarios
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping disruptive solutions for quantum, AI, and climate tech
- Present foresight insights to executive stakeholders and board members quarterly
- Partner with R&D to commercialize future-ready technologies
- Author industry whitepapers and keynote presentations on future trends
- Manage a $2M innovation budget for experimental projects
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech strategy
- Proven track record of commercializing future-focused technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or Business Strategy
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., CFS) preferred
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on future readiness
- Exceptional storytelling skills for translating complex futures into actionable strategies
- Portfolio of published future scenario analyses or innovation frameworks
