Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies, sociocultural shifts, and market discontinuities through 2028
- Develop quantitative and qualitative frameworks for predicting systemic impacts of AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Design strategic scenario plans for board-level stakeholders with risk-adjusted investment recommendations
- Author white papers and thought leadership pieces published in MIT Technology Review, Future Studies Journal, and industry forums
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and policy teams
- Establish ethical guardrails for emerging technologies through stakeholder engagement frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, Complexity Science, or related field (or 10+ years equivalent experience)
- Proven track record of published predictive models with 85%+ accuracy in technology forecasting
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and Bayesian trend analysis
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, synthetic biology, and neurotech trajectories
- Experience presenting to C-suite executives and government technology councils
- Portfolio demonstrating transformational foresight projects implemented in Fortune 500 environments
- Proficiency in Python/R for predictive modeling and visualization tools like Tableau
