Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive 2026 technology and societal trend forecasts using scenario planning methodologies
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify emerging risks and opportunities across quantum, AI, and biotech domains
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with strategic recommendations for executive leadership
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to track cutting-edge developments
- Create ethical frameworks for emerging technologies to guide responsible innovation
- Present strategic foresight insights to investors, board members, and industry stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists and build the organization's foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future studies with demonstrated impact
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related interdisciplinary field
- Expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, AI, biotech, nanotech)
- Proven ability to translate complex future scenarios into executable business strategies
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level communication experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy preferred
- Experience with ethical AI governance frameworks a plus
