Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks and heavy equipment on construction sites and haul routes
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre-trip/post-trip documentation
- Load/unload materials including gravel, dirt, asphalt, and demolition debris
- Maintain clean and compliant vehicle records (logbooks, maintenance reports)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Collaborate with dispatch and site supervisors for efficient route planning
- Train junior drivers on safety protocols and operational best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating dump trucks and heavy equipment
- Current DOT medical certification and HazMat endorsement preferred
- Proven ability to operate in tight urban and construction site environments
- Strong knowledge of Raleigh area roadways and delivery protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
