Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A dump trucks for material transport in construction zones
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Navigate complex job sites while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors for timely deliveries
- Operate heavy equipment including hydraulic controls for dumping operations
- Maintain clean vehicles and report maintenance needs promptly
- Support emergency response during weather-related disruptions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years experience operating dump trucks in construction environments
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong spatial awareness for navigating tight job sites
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including early mornings and weekends
