Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Obey all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of highway and local traffic laws.
- Ability to lift and move cargo up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
