Responsibilities
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, professional, and legally compliant manner on all roadways.
- Load Management: Secure cargo properly, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure accurate weight distribution.
- Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately to maintenance control.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD), delivery receipts, and delivery paperwork according to DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and ensure timely, efficient delivery of goods.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License: Must possess a valid, current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Endorsements: Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus but not always required for all routes.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
