Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in accordance with FMCSR regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads using straps and chains.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
