Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and 2FA systems using modern protocols like TOTP, WebAuthn, and Push notifications.
- Integrate and optimize 2FA solutions with major Single Sign-On (SSO) platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, and Google Workspace.
- Conduct rigorous security audits and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities in authentication flows before they are exploited.
- Collaborate with product managers and UX designers to create frictionless yet secure onboarding and login experiences.
- Lead the migration of legacy authentication methods to modern, standards-compliant technologies (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML).
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical vision of the security team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in Security Engineering, Identity Management, or Application Security.
- Deep expertise in 2FA/MFA implementation, including knowledge of cryptographic standards and key management.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Comprehensive understanding of authentication protocols: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and LDAP.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
