Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation for route compliance
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations following district procedures
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with passenger endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work effectively with children
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon hours
- High school diploma or equivalent required
