Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip bus inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior during transit
- Maintain accurate route schedules and communication with dispatch
- Complete required paperwork and incident reports
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Provide first aid assistance in emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to obtain CDL with school bus endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Minimum age 21 with ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Patience and ability to work with children in a structured environment
- Flexible availability for early mornings, afternoons, and field trips
