Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Monitor student behavior and ensure a respectful, safe environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate records of routes, incidents, and student counts
- Adapt to route changes and weather conditions while prioritizing safety
- Assist students with boarding/alighting and mobility needs
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods
