Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transport
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and dispatch regarding route changes
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Assist with field trip transportation during non-school hours
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (provided)
- Ability to obtain CDL with School Bus endorsement through our paid training program
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Patience and ability to work effectively with children
- Background clearance through fingerprinting
