Responsibilities
- Safely transporting students to and from school and school activities in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment at all times.
- Adhering strictly to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations.
- Performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicating effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administrators regarding routes and delays.
- Managing student behavior and maintaining a positive, respectful atmosphere on the bus.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- A clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings and afternoons.
