Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities on schedule.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain order and discipline among students while on the bus, prioritizing their safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding delays or issues.
- Keep the bus interior clean, organized, and hazard-free at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs in the past 7 years.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the patience to work with children of all ages.
- Ability to work early morning hours, late afternoons, and occasional weekends.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
