Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on assigned routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
- Manage student behavior and maintain a positive, disciplined environment
- Adhere to traffic laws and school district transportation policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Report maintenance issues and maintain clean vehicles
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and mobility needs
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Excellent driving record (no major violations in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Background check clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
