Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student behavior and ensure orderly conduct during transport
- Follow strict schedules for morning and afternoon routes
- Complete accurate incident reports and maintain mileage logs
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Punctual and reliable with exceptional attendance
- Basic knowledge of Lubbock area geography
