Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus routes following strict schedules and traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student behavior and enforce safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
- Adhere to district policies and transportation regulations
- Provide assistance to students with special needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening
- Clear driving record with no major violations
- Ability to obtain school bus certification (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
- Flexible availability to cover morning/evening shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
