As a School Bus Driver, you play a crucial role in the daily lives of students and families in the Toledo area. We offer paid training to help you get on the road quickly and confidently.
Responsibilities
- Transport students safely and efficiently along designated routes to and from school.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during boarding, unboarding, and on-trip.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and safe.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment within the bus at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school personnel, and parents regarding route changes, delays, or student issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus endorsements.
- Clear driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report (MVR), and drug screen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
