Responsibilities
- Safely transporting students to and from school and school-sponsored activities.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all passengers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly bus interior at all times.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including speed limits and stop signs.
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, school officials, and parents regarding schedule changes or delays.
- Assisting passengers with boarding and exiting the bus in an orderly manner.
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey CDL Class B with School Bus (S) endorsement.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional afternoons.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
